Regular Season Round 9: Skjetten - MAFC 56-59

Not a big story in a game when 43th ranked NorwegianSkjetten (1-3) was edged at home by thirteenth ranked Hungarian MAFC (5-3) 59-56 on Saturday. Skjetten was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 13-6 charge of MAFC, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Skjetten to just 6 points in fourth quarter. MAFC forced 29 Skjetten turnovers. The winners were led by Soma Szigeti who scored that evening 6 points and 10 rebounds and Donat Nemeth supported him with 11 points and 6 steals. MAFC's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Even a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds by Yannis Ihorimbre did not help to save the game for Skjetten . Filip Flage added 17 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Skjetten players scored in double figures. MAFC have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Skjetten keeps the 43th position with three games lost. They share it with 10 other teams.
